Sydney Ramutla, the company Chairperson, is formerly Group Executive: Global Sales and Marketing at Business Connexion Group, and is currently also Chairperson of Afrovation. He has been involved in the outsourcing of many private and public sector clients. Sydney joined Business Connexion in 1997 as one of its first employees and spent more than 14 years there as the organisation grew from 7 employees to over 7 000.

In these 14 years he held a number of Board and Executive positions, including heading up Business Connexion International, and serving on the Executive Committee from 1999 to 2011. He managed a number of portfolios, including but not limited to being responsible for the top 40 Outsource Contracts at Business Connexion, forming the leadership for the acquisition of long-term deals such as the outsourcing of Standard Bank, BHP Billiton (Melbourne Australia), Anglo American (London, UK), Nampak, Anglo-Gold Ashanti, De Beers, South African Breweries, MTN, and many others.

In 2007 Sydney was nominated as semi-finalist in the esteemed IT Personality of the year award by the Computer Society of South Africa and was voted one of the most prominent up and coming IT Industry leaders by ITWeb. He has a deep understanding of Global Client engagement and has the necessary network to source business from the private and public sectors, both in South Africa, the wider African continent, and abroad.

In addition, he has formed a part of various Presidential and Ministerial tours promoting South Africa and Africa as a good investment destination. Sydney is a Business Management Postgraduate from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and has graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Monaco International.
